Hello there everyone,
It is actually SNOWING in Houston, Texas today! Day before yesterday it was 70 degrees. There is a saying down here that goes like this "If you don't like the weather now just wait a minute and it will change". Truer words were never spoken.
I have been working on Ultra Fractal and have a large amount of images to upload. I will put 2 or 3 up at a time. Asymmetry still pretty much eludes me. I just can't seem to find a way to consistently create interesting landscapes that are randomly put together. It does present a challenge which is a good thing.
My loom is still waiting but until I can get rid of some stubborn pain I'm going to have to love it from afar.
My life is better by far now that I am a grandmother. Little Jayde and baby Victor are the apples of my eye and I am enjoying an ever growing relationship with my daughter Jessica (my husband's daughter). She is quickly becoming my own and I love it.
I am as usual leaving links and information to MindBoggling Fractals plus some instructions from the ever beautiful Wolfepaw wolfepaw.deviantart.com/ on how to use the gradients from MBF in Apophysis.

""Hi, Rose!
I'm not sure if I actually wrote something about how to use MBF Colormaps in Apo. What I do is I use the "Smooth Palette" options on the Gradient Tab (part of the Adjustment dialog box) while I'm in Apo. The "Smooth Palette" is the icon that looks like a black gray white gradient. If you hover your cursor over that icon you will see the words "Smooth Palette" pop up. Click on that. You then browse to an image you rendered out of MBF and the click on that one. Apo will then create a gradient out of the colors of the MBF image you select. The Smooth Palette option will work with any jpg or bmp. When the gradient is loaded in the gradient window, you can right-click on the gradient color bar and click on "Save Gradient", give it a name and then save it in one of your gradient files/packs.
I've also noticed that if you do "Smooth Palette" again on the same image, the gradient does not always look the same. So, if you're not happy with the first result of "Smooth Palette", you can choose the same image again with "Smooth Palette" and it will come out slightly different. I've done this with several UF images. One image in particular, I have 3 different gradient ugrs that I made from "Smooth Palette". Each one is slightly different arrangement of the colors."
May you all have a beautiful day and all the love you need.
Love to all

Hi there everybody!
It seems my looming project is on hold until I can get nursing problems solved. So I was finally able to purchase Ultra Fractal a few months ago and I have been having loads of fun with it. It took me a while to get orientated to it. It all looked like Greek to me but with the help of tutorials both built into the program and from generous artists like Fractaholic here on dA I was able to understand the general run of things. I really, really, REALLY LOVE the program and I am so glad I was able to purchase it. I am personally an extremist and this program plays right into that. At first I figured I would probably learn how to do spirals and flowers but my curiosity and sense of adventure took me in a completely different direction. The Gradient tool is extremely user friendly and I've created several of my own gradients and have imported all of my APO gradients that actually originated in Mind Boggling Fractals as well. If you've ever looked at my work you know I am a vibrant color nut to say the least. I still want to keep posting Mind Boggling Fractals resources here so that you can make full use of them.
